The Headquarters for the Army’s 842nd Transportation Battalion is the third in a series of buildings designed for the Port of Beaumont. The steel framed masonry veneer building is constructed to withstand hurricane winds up to 150 mph. The latest in anti-terrorist barriers and security have been designed into this two story, 27,000 s.f. facility. The building also contains electrical back up systems which allow it to operate during emergency conditions.
Construction Cost: $6,000,000.
